Summary

Strengthen and Tackle Opportunities to Prevent Violence Act of 2025 or the STOP Violence Act of 2025

This bill allows funds under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program to be used to assist public assembly facilities in preparing for and protecting against mass violence. A public assembly facility means a structure or facility, place, or activity where concentrations of people gather for purposes such as deliberation, education, worship, shopping, employment, entertainment, recreation, sporting events, or similar activities.
